By Appointment Only: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
For bikes, kayaks, and canoes, please send a picture and description to us before you bring it in! You may either text 306-371-3690 or email gear@lifeoutsidegx.com.
We accept consignment on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10am to 6pm - no appointment necessary! (When consignment is open - check above.)
If you would like to bring items in on a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, please book an appointment here. We do try to keep our appointments on these days open for people who live outside of Saskatoon or who are otherwise unable to bring in items on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Please check above to see if our consignment is currently open!
We take gently used, clean, functional, and modern outdoor clothing and gear from high-end outdoor brands! The activities we specialize in include hiking, backpacking, paddling, cycling, climbing, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and skating.
For more details on what brands we do and do not accept, you can check out our Consignment Guide.
Please Note: We cannot accept used helmets or climbing safety equipment. We can only accept these items if they are new with tags still attached.
PLEASE NOTE: Although we usually accept all seasons all year round, OFF-SEASON CONSIGNMENT IS CURRENTLY PAUSED! Follow us on Instagram (@lifeoutsidegx) for an update on when winter/fall consignment will reopen.
We accept all seasons all year round! However, off season items will be entered, priced, and put into storage. Once items are put into storage, we will not have access to them until after our next season changeover.
Current Season: Spring/Summer
All winter and/or fall items brought in will be put into storage.
We take up to 12 clothing items per consignment drop but unlimited gear items!
If you are from out of town and would like to drop off more than 12 clothing items, please call or text 306-371-3690 or email gear@lifeoutsidegx.com to make arrangements.
We consign items for a minimum of 50 days, and we typically keep them until the end of their season! Items will be donated if they do not sell by the end of their season (unless we've had them for less than 50 days).
At the end of each season, we conduct an 'End of Season Sale'. This sale is announced to our mailing list and on our social media. If there are any items in your account with an 'ACTIVE' status that you would like returned, you must notify us before the final day of the 'End of Season Sale'. If we do not hear from you, any unsold items will be donated.
Yes! However, you must leave items with us for a minimum of 50 days so that we have a chance to sell them after putting the work in to research, price, and merchandise them. For items brought in out-of-season, this 50 days would begin when they are put out at the beginning of their season.
To get your items back, just text 306-371-3690 or email gear@lifeoutsidegx.com with your name and the items you would like to pick up. We'll then send you a notification once we've collected them all and have them ready for you!
Our 2024-2025 Winter End of Season sale was the end of January through the beginning of February and our 2024 Summer End of Season sale was beginning to mid August. However, we're still refining our process and learning new things every year! We also take into account the weather. Therefore, our End of Season sales may not be at the same time every year.
The best way to stay up to date with our End of Season sales and any other sales we may have is to subscribe to our mailing list and/or follow us on social media! We'll announce all of our sales through these channels.

Yes! If you just consigned items for the first time, you should've received an email the same day. This email contains your Consignor ID (username), a temporary password, and the link to where to login.
This email does get sent through an automated server, so be sure to check your spam folder. If you have not received the email by the end of the day on the day you first consigned items, please let us know and we'll make sure we can get you the information you need to login to your account!
If you have previously consigned with us and this was not your first time dropping items off, you will not receive another login email unless you specifically requested one.
There is a few different reasons your account may have a negative balance, but the most common reason is the Consignment Community Contribution. There is a $5 Consignment Community Contribution that is taken off every account when it is first set up. This goes towards building our community, having online access to consignment, keeping payouts free, and paying our employees a livable wage. You do not have to pay this up front. Essentially, you will just get $5 less from the first item of yours that sells.
The second reason is the Bike Consignment Fee. If you consigned a bike after March 2025, you would have been given the choice to choose between Regular Consignment (Tune, Price, & Consign) or Tune & Price. If you chose Regular Consignment, there is a $20 Bike Consignment Fee that gets taken off your account for each bike. Again, you do not have to pay this up-front.
The third reason is the Mr. Clean fee. If you bring in an item that is overly dirty, we will apply a Mr. Clean fee to your account. Usually, we just try not to accept items that need to be cleaned and we ask that you clean items before bringing them in.
The last, and least common, reason is a returned item. Our return policy is that everything is final sale and therefore we generally do not allow returns. However, in some cases with extenuating circumstances, we will grant customers a return. If you were paid out and/or bought items using credit between when your item was purchased and returned, your account balance may end up being negative. We usually do not require consignors to pay back this amount.
Usually, this means the item is in storage for the season and will be put on the floor at the beginning of the next season!
During our season changeover and the weeks following, you may notice some items showing as "unavailable" even though we're switching into their season. It takes a couple weeks to get all of the items in our storage unpacked and out on the floor, but don't worry - your item will be put out soon! (Some activities such as skiing, snowboarding, paddling, and cycling are not put out right at the start of the season, as there isn't as much of a demand for these items in early fall or spring.)
Additionally, we use the 'UNAVAILABLE' status to take items off the website and/or exclude them from sales. This happens a lot during our End of Season sales, as we don't want items that have just been consigned to sell for up to 80% off, but can also happen at other times throughout the season.
All you have to do is text or call 306-371-3690, or email payouts@lifeoutsidegx.com, and let us know that you want to be paid out! If you are texting or emailing, please including your name and consignor ID so we can make sure we add the right person to the list. If you don't know your consignor ID, please include the email associated with your account.
You're also welcome to stop by the store and ask in-person!* You will then be added to the payout list for the following week.
Payouts are done through e-transfer to the email associated with your account. If your total is a large amount, we may have to write a cheque instead, which we can either mail to you or have here ready for pick-up. You can also request a cheque instead of e-transfer if you would prefer.
*Even if you stop by the store, payouts are not issued on the spot.
YES! If you use your credit in-store, you get an extra 10%!
When shopping in-store, we will ask at check-out if you've consigned with us and if you would like to use any credit you may have.
If you're shopping online, select 'Use my consignor credit for this order' during the check-out process. We will then ring through your item with your consignor money and have it ready at the consignment counter for you!
Sometimes we have to pause certain items due to a large influx of consignment and/or limited capacity. You can follow our Instagram for updates on when we pause and/or un-pause consignment on certain items!
